Starting this Monday, November 18 those who have credit with Icetexbut have exceeded the limit on their payments, can apply for a forgiveness of up to 100% of default interest. The announcement is part of a new alternative solution.
This possibility, which ends on December 21, will make it easier for the student to reach an agreement with the institute and catch up. The entity stated that, Once the default is eliminated, the beneficiary can access a decrease in the interest rate from CPI + 4% to CPI + 2% during 2024.

“The objective (…) is to seek joint solutions to the economic difficulties of students and their families so that there are no barriers that prevent the fulfillment of their dreams of being professionals,” said Patricia Abadía, president (e) of the entity.
Regarding the options to stay up to date on credit, there is the extinctionthat is, the full payment of the obligation; normalization (equivalent to payment of the balance in arrears) and refinancing to change the terms or value of the fee. Job fair
Until 4:00 pm the National Learning Service (Sena) will hold a job fair throughout the country that seeks to connect companies with potential workers. There are more than 50 places where the institute has a presence for this purpose.

“Opportunities are mainly focused on the sectors health, commerce, services, transportation, food and tourism, in occupations for business advisors,nurses, clothing workers, administrative assistants, electrical technicians, production assistants, drivers and kitchen assistants, among others,” explained Luz Dana Leal, director of Employment and Labor of the Sena.
The activity is being carried out simultaneously in cities such as Medellín, Barranquilla and Leticia. Attendees can also participate in orientation workshops to create a resume and enhance networks to search for employment.
