The ICBF surrogate mothers It is a modality in which an interdisciplinary care process is developed with the child or adolescent and their family or support network, to overcome situations of violation of rights.
That is why, in 2020, The Ministry of Labor issued Decree 1173, in which article 215 of the National Development Plan 2018-2022, Pact for Colombia, Pact for Equity establishes that “…people who stop being surrogate mothers as of November 24, 2015, who have developed the work for a period of not less than 10 years and who do not meet the requirements to access to a pension, they will have access to a subsidy.”

The foregoing indicates that the National Government, based on said decree, grants a monthly economic subsidy of 220,000 to 280,000 pesos monthly, for people who have performed the work of surrogate mothers for a time of not less than 10 years.
Likewise, these people had to present an accreditation or certificate that verifies the condition of withdrawal before the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare as of November 24, 2015.

Keep in mind that one of the requirements to obtain said subsidy is to be able to access a pension, as explained by the then Minister of Labor, Ángel Custodio Cabrera Baéz.
In this sense, must have the power to demonstrate that they meet the age for old-age pension and not have met other pension requirements.
