ICBF managed budget addition for child welfare

The General Director of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (Icbf), Lina Arbeláez, announced a $229 billion addition to the budget assigned to the entity for this year, guaranteeing the prevention and protection scheme for children and adolescents in the country.

“The National Government recognizes that investment in children is essential for the development of the country and therefore, as a sign of its commitment to joint work between the Ministry of Finance and DAPRE with ICBF, an increase of 2.8% was achieved. in the budget of the institute that will allow us to continue guaranteeing the rights, dignity and well-being of children and adolescents in the country”, Lina Arbelaez argued.

With the approval of this increase, the official said, The ICBF will have a budget for this year of more than $8 billion pesoswhich will allow children, adolescents and young people to receive all services and have a strengthened institution that allows them to fully enjoy their rights.
