Iberostar renews its tourist commitment to Cuba

The Spanish group Iberostar renews its tourist bet for Cuba30 years after the opening of its first hotel on the island.

With this objective, Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts, The company’s Cuban subsidiary, presented this Friday to the press its new campaign, named “Welcome”, which seeks to relaunch its tourism products and services in the country after the impasse caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The campaign “seeks to transmit not only the essence of the island and its people, but also aims to encourage travelers to enjoy the unique mix” that, in the opinion of Iberostar, Cuba offers, with its heritage cities, its famous beaches and its charms. natural.

In this sense, “Welcome” emphasizes not so much on the hotel infrastructure itself, but on the destination Cuba and the values ​​of the tourist poles in which the company is present, such as Varadero, the northern keys, Havana and Trinidad, as explained to the press by Alexei Torres, Marketing Director of Iberostar Cuba.

With this campaign, the Spanish group intends to “reinvent itself” in the post-pandemic context, appealing for a renewal of its communication strategies to reach new markets and sectors of the public, such as the millennials and the so-called Generation Z, pointed out the manager.

In addition, it reinforces its commitment to sustainable tourism and kicks off the company’s activities for the 41st edition of the FitCuba 2023 International Fair, which will take place at the beginning of May and will take place in the Cuban capital.

During the event, according to Torres, Iberostar will celebrate not only its 30 years in Cuba, but also the 25 years of the Iberostar Parque Central hotel, one of its emblematic facilities in Havana and the entire island.

Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts currently has 18 4- and 5-star hotels in the country’s main tourist destinations, most of them on the beaches of Varadero, Cayo Santa María, Cayo Guillermo, Cayo Cruz and Holguín.

In Havana, in addition to the aforementioned Central Park, the luxurious Grand Packard and the historic Riviera hotel, currently undergoing remodeling work, belong to his portfolio.
