The Ibero -American University Corporation (Ibero), in alliance with Icetex, He announced the opening of a call for 99 scholarships aimed at high school and professionals in Colombia. The strategy seeks to expand opportunities for access to higher education through 100% virtual programs, focused on high demand areas in the labor market.
The distribution includes 17 complete scholarships, 100% equivalent to the registration value, together with 34 partials that cover 70% and 48 partials of 50%.

According to the institution, support are aimed at programs Education Sciences, Business Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, Health Sciences, Law and Engineering. These fields, according to Ibero, are considered strategic for the productive and social development of the country.
The programs offered will be taken under virtual modality, in semiannual or four -monthly periods, as corresponding to pregnant or postgraduate degrees. This modality, the organizers stand out, It seeks to facilitate educational access to students in any region of the country, eliminating geographical and displacement barriers.
The rector of the Ibero -American University Corporation, Ricardo Gómez, explained that the initiative responds to a structural need in the Colombian education system. “In Colombia, only 4 out of 10 young people access higher education. With these 99 scholarships, we seek to close that gap and ensure that more students build a future with quality, flexible and international recognition training”He said.

The programs are 100% virtual, in areas such as education, health, law, engineering and business sciences.

In addition to the partial or total coverage of the enrollment, students who access the academic offer will have additional benefits. These include international certifications and digital badges issued in alliance with planet institutions and universities, as well as deepening courses and double program or homologation options. The institution stressed that high quality accreditation obtained by Ibero is another differentiating element of this educational offer.
The alliance between Ibero and Icetex is also part of a context of growing demand for professional training in Colombia. The official indicators indicate that, although the number of students enrolled in higher education has increased in recent years, The figures continue to be insufficient in the face of labor demand and the country’s productivity challenges.
