The IAVA student spokesperson, Geronimo Sena, announced that he will denounce the journalist Ignacio Álvarez for having told him that he wanted to “chaparle his hair” in an interview conducted this Thursday on the La Pecera program on Azul FM.
“The complaint is going to be made at the police station, also for an act of violence against a journalist, who wanted to grab me by the hair. We had crosses with journalists, but all by phone calls,” he said in dialogue with The Observer.
The cross between Sena and Álvarez occurred this Thursday in an interview that the journalist conducted with the adolescent. At the end of the interview, Álvarez told him: “As a father that I am, I have a 17-year-old son and a 19-year-old son, on the one hand I understand you and on the other it makes me want to shake your hair like I grab my son sometimes to tell him: ‘Come I want to explain a lot of things to you’. I’m not talking about violence. With all the love in the world, hopefully we can talk as we are talking now and find sensible solutions where everyone’s rights are not being violated.”
in dialogue with The Observer Sena also said that he suffered threats like other IAVA students. “Occupier of high schools, where I cross you (sic), I’ll blow you up, I’ll take the homosexual out of you. Tremendous disgust you give me little frontalist seal,” wrote a user on Instagram under the name of frank in a message addressed to the student spokesperson.
—Today I didn’t go to high school because of the threats, and because of the rest I have to take, I couldn’t because of so much adrenaline, all this happened in 24 hours. The Guild has my back, as do other High School guilds. You feel that support —Sena responded when asked how she had received the threatening messages.
