“I tell mothers to take care of their daughters, because there are millions like me,” says rapist sentenced to 25 years

José Ignacio Cabrera Lino, 32, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for rape by the 15th Precautionary Investigation Court and during his abbreviated procedure hearing gave advice to all mothers to prevent their daughters from being abused.

“I want to tell all the mothers to take care of their daughters and do not dispatch them alone, because like me, there must be millions. And I also want to apologize (to the mothers of his victims), but I don’t think anyone will forgive me,” he said Tuesday before the judge, which caused the astonishment of the litigants.

The detainee acknowledged that raped two women, one of them a minor 15 years old, when he worked as a taxi driver through the inDrive application, but he denied being a bad person, and assured that he made mistakes.

“I have a 16-year-old daughter, but I have never touched her, I am not a bad person, and I also have a five (year-old) daughter. I accept everything that comes and hopefully my family will support me,” he said.

After this statement, the precautionary judge asked the defendant what he would request if one of his daughters was a victim of rape. Then the aforementioned He replied that he would kill the perpetrator.
