Francia Márquez y polémica con Marbelle

Francia Márquez, who has been compared to King Kong on a subject described as racism but which divides opinions, responded to the singer Marbelle, and the artist also told her: “I return your hug.”

Colombia News.

In a Twitter message and later in a vice-presidential debate, Francia Márquez responded to the controversial tweets from Marbelle, in which he described her as King Kong; Although the artist has not talked about the color of her skin, neither she nor she has made the issue of racism explicit, for many, if they are racist messages and they have even filed two criminal complaints against her.

The artist had written: “The mamertos will never understand that it is not a matter of color… that lady terrifies me (…)”.

Márquez, Gustavo Petro’s vice-presidential formula for the Historical Pact, had not spoken directly about the singer, he did so a few hours ago.

“Racism not only hurts, but also kills. Racism not only harms us, but it harms those who express it because it is not allowed to build from love and difference. TO @Marbelle30 lI send an ancestral hug so that it heals and we build from the difference, “he wrote.

He answered the same thing during a debate when Vicky Dávila asked him about that controversy.

Although the leader from Cauca was also asked about the message from Gustavo Bolívar who “tried” to defend her and that a photo of King Kong with a message, she has not mentioned it.

Marquez’s response:

And the Valle del Cauca artist (born in Buenaventura) replied that “I don’t buy her lies.”

“And I return your ancestral hug so that you keep it,” he replied and told him that he does not present it, “do not come to me with the cheap speech with which you want to deceive people.”

Insults, ridicule and even threats come and go on Twitter with the singer Marbelle as the protagonist, a staunch defender of former President Álvaro Uribe and a critic of Gustavo Petro, her phrase: “Cacas y King kong” in reference to Francia Márquez, in a trill that lasted more than 20 hours published, unleashed a whole ‘war’ of insults, offenses and others.

That has been one of the hottest topics on social media this week.

Discrimination crime: “Discrimination and racism means any action carried out that arbitrarily prevents, obstructs or restricts the full exercise of the rights of people because of their race (skin color), nationality, sex or sexual orientation).”

  • It constitutes: imprisonment from 12 to 36 months, a fine of ten to 15 current legal minimum wages (more than $13 million). Law 1482 of 2011.

The candidate of the Historical Pact, answered on the social network: “Is it freedom of expression or xenophobia?”

Facing this issue, the Observatory of Racial Discrimination pronouncedwhich announced that “it will initiate legal action for the discriminatory comments published on social networks.”

They ask the authorities to take action.

And two criminal cases have already been filed against Marbelle, accusing her of being racist and promoting messages of hate and discrimination, she replied that she is there for what “justice needs”.

mixed message

Gustavo Bolívar’s tweet, which for some was trying to defend France but ended up complicating the controversy, was also erased by the re-elected senator.

A discussion of social networks that has passed to personal interaction, and that further complicates the polarization of the country.

Racism, classism, bullying by the figure is a problem; the body and the appearance of a person, but within the framework of the political discussion at the gates of elections, analysts point out, they have managed to divert attention to the discussion about the future of the country.

There are no heated debates that lead people to discuss healthily, with data, with research on the candidates’ proposals, for example.

The discussion does not focus on what is to come in terms of governance.

This has led to a debate in the dime and direte, in which it seems that there is no discussion or reasoning to say: “I was wrong” or offer apologies, which at least help calm things down.

On the contrary, opinions are added, statements are remembered.
