The document of the international judicial body was given in the expectation of a prompt release of the convicted person from his confinement in the Barbadillo prison.

Through her social networks, the parliamentarian Sigrid Bazan (Together for Peru) showed its position in favor of what was dictated by the IACHR and remembered the victims of the massacres perpetrated during the fujimorista decade. “The State must guarantee the right to justice of the victims of Barrios Altos and La Cantuta, therefore, it must refrain from releasing the sentenced Alberto Fujimori, as indicated by the Inter-American Court in this document. The TC exposes us as a country to that international shame, becoming a fujitribunal of impunity, ”, he sentenced.
On the other hand, Congressman Jose Cueto Aservifrom the Renovación Popular caucus, expressed a total rejection of the IACHR document, an opinion that had previously been shared by his fellow bench member Jorge Montoya before the possible intervention in this case.
“I express my absolute rejection of the Inter-American Court’s claim that the ruling of the Constitutional Court ordering the release of former President Alberto Fujimori not be executed. This attitude, in addition to being arrogant, is a flagrant violation of the political and constitutional sovereignty of Peru, ”he specified on his Twitter account.
Likewise, Héctor Valer, current congressman regrouped in the Democratic Peru bench, agreed in considering what was expressed by the international entity as a transgression of the decisions made by a sovereign country and its institutions.

Fujimori’s pardon
