“I don’t think there will be a coup,” he said. the former president of Bolivia, Evo Moralesandn a thread posted on his Twitter account this Sunday.
The national head of the MAS hinted that the argument for a new coup is an exaggeration and urged the Government of Luis Arce to seek immediate solutions to the conflict over the census.
“I reiterate what I shared in meetings with our brothers, president @LuchoXBolivia and vice president @LaramaDavid: I don’t think there is a coup. What we do warn is that some sector of the government is allied with the coup plotters. Let’s not magnify the situation please.”
Morales lamented the internal fights within Arce’s cabinet and considers that the Minister of Government, Eduardo del Castillo, whom he repeatedly criticized, should resign for having been disavowed by the Ministry of the Presidency when referring officially to the problem of the Census.
“We regret the internal struggles and contradictions of some ministers. While the Minister of Government takes a position in relation to the census, the Minister of the Presidency disavows it. If a minister is disavowed by the Government, if he has dignity, he should resign,” he said..
“Could it be that some sector of the government wants to be an accomplice to ruin the economy? Eve, what called for an immediate solution to the conflict for the census.
“The plan of the right is to weaken us politically and destroy the economy with unemployment. But the problem with the census remains. I don’t think so. Something is happening. It is time to put order,” he added.
