Influencer Hytalo Santos and her husband Israel Natã Vicente were heard at a custody hearing on Saturday (16). According to the São Paulo Court of Justice, the hearing was held in a virtual format to verify if any illegality was committed at the time of prison.
Given the absence of violations of detainees, pre -trial detention was maintained. The defense lawyers filed a request from habeas corpus.
Hytalo and her husband have been arrested since Friday (15) and are investigated by the Public Prosecutor of Paraíba (MPPB) and the Labor Prosecutor’s Office (MPT) for exploration and exposure of minors in content produced for social networks. There is still suspicion of sexual abuse and human trafficking.
The case gained repercussion after complaints from Youtuber Felca on adultization of children and adolescents.
Accusations
The arrest was carried out by the São Paulo State Civil Police (PC-SP) in conjunction with the Public Prosecution Service of the State of Paraíba, the Labor Prosecutor, the Civil Police of the State of Paraíba. The warrants were issued by the 2nd Court of Bayeux District (PB) by Judge Antonio Rudimacy Firmino de Sousa. At Hytalo’s house, the police seized eight cell phones.
“Criminal investigations have been conducted with technical rigor and absolute respect for the rights and dignity of the victims, especially children and adolescents. However, the leakage of confidential information and the execution of civilian measures, dissociated from the proper methods of criminal investigation, have impaired the efficiency and safety of investigative work, as well as potentially exposing victims to new risks,” said the MPPB.
According to the agency, the case requires responsible treatment, without sensationalism and with maximum protection of the intimacy of the victims, especially in the face of sexual exploitation, especially in the digital environment.
“It is important to highlight the need for the effective fight against human trafficking at the state level, as it is a serious violation of rights that, although often less visible than transnational, causes deep impacts on local communities.”
