Meteorologists believe that climate change will be a determining factor in increasing sea temperatures, the main fuel for the formation of tropical cyclones.

These phenomena could be devastating for the economies of countries in the Caribbean region, where Beryl caused serious damage to islands located south of the Antilles Archipelago in July.

Most of them form as tropical waves originating from the Sahara Desert, and after entering the Atlantic, they travel thousands of kilometres until they reach our forecast area.

A cyclone is any atmospheric phenomenon whose axis rotates counterclockwise, initiating a process that goes from tropical depression, storm and then hurricane.

To acquire hurricane status, its maximum sustained wind must exceed 118 kilometers per hour, on a scale ranging from 1 to 5, measured by Saffir-Simpso.
