Huracán and Godoy Cruz equalized goalless this Wednesday night at Parque de los Patricios and moved away from the top of the 2022 tournament of the Professional Soccer League, within the framework of the ninth date of the contest.

The tie left the “Tomba” (which ended with one less due to the expulsion of Gianluca Ferrari for a double yellow card at 42 minutes of the complement) two units behind the leaders.

The “Globe” after two goalless draws is three away from the top of the standings.

In a game that had a time for each, the teams continue on a streak but could not continue at the top.

Godoy Cruz has six dates without losing and is also in the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup.

For Huracán there are already eight games undefeated with the same number of wins and draws.

Huracán finished better because in the second half it had the clearest chances with a header from Matías Cóccaro to the crossbar and another from Benjamín Garré that Pier Barrios miraculously saved on the line.

Despite the consecutive victories, Godoy Cruz’s technical duo made up of Favio Orsi and Sergio Gómez modified the team with the return to ownership of Gianluca Ferrari, who returned from the suspension date and was sent off again in defense, and Nelson Acevedo in midfield.

Huracán also presented two variants regarding the goalless draw in Santa Fe against Unión and they were the income of Juan Gauto, selected by Javier Mascherano for the sub 20, and Ismael Quílez by the suspended Guillermo Soto.

In a very even first half and for several quite discreet sections, the “Tomba” was the one that went into the break with the best feelings.

The Mendoza team did not shrink and was the one that generated the most danger in the rival area.

Huracán had a hard time putting together plays in attack and the inaccuracies of Franco Cristaldo, Benjamín Garré and the disconnection with Matías Cóccaro had a lot to do with it.

Godoy Cruz was much more direct and so it was that at 23 minutes he had the first chance with a long ball to Tadeo Allende who, after a hurried exit from Lucas Chaves, threw the center for the Uruguayan Salomón Rodríguez who found himself with the saving leg of Lucas Merola.

The best of the local only came at 43 minutes with a shot from above by Cristaldo after a good combination on the right.

However, the clearest of the first half was in the second minute of added time after a good individual play by Ezequiel Bullaude that left Allende one-on-one, but the definition went to the right post.

The second half was practically all of Huracán that from twenty minutes to the end made the merits to keep the three points.

Godoy Cruz could not maintain the level of the first half and after a new expulsion from Ferrari he ended up cornered and hugged to the point that he is left without a lead but allows him to continue adding to his main goal of permanence.

The “Globe” had at 29 minutes a chance for Cóccaro to hit the crossbar after a center from the right of entered Gabriel Gudiño.

Four minutes later, Garré missed the winning goal after a shot that Pier Barrios headed into the corner line.
