Santiago.- Hundreds of women expressed their support for the presidential project of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) headed by Abel Martínez, during a ceremony held at the Utesa Convention Center.
Abel, along with his wife, Nahiony Reyes, were received with applause and expressions of affection by those who defined them as “the next presidential couple.”
Speaking to those present, Nahiony Reyes highlighted the qualities of a human being that adorn her husband, whom she thanked for the beautiful family they are forging, “because the family is the center of the entire society and if the family is doing well, everything else goes well”, assuring that Abel is the most exact form of excellence in everything he undertakes”.
“There is nothing stronger than feminine power, and what is being experienced in this room is part of the fuel that Abel needs to get up day after day to achieve his goals. Reaching the presidency of the country is not easy; it is achieved with you, with each heart that is beating here we can achieve success that seems individual but that is collective because the triumph of this project belongs to all of us”, said Nahiony.
On his side, Abel Martínez thanked the forceful demonstrations of support, assuring that “the country needs you, we need your enthusiasm, energy, courage, your effervescence, that when you make a decision, you make it from the soul. , from the heart, they promote it and make it a reality and that reality of the Dominican dream of having a country that we can feel proud of; and I tell them: first goal October 16”.
In the activity, the former governor of Santiago and member of the Central Committee, Aura Toribio, also spoke, who expressed that “since the first Santiago de América, we are sending a loud message to the country, that women are with Abel because he is the leader of the sympathy of the women of the Cibao”.
The words of welcome were given by the former governor of Santiago, Ana María Domínguez, who affirmed that “women are the true warriors of politics and that the determined work of each one will make Abel Martínez the candidate of the PLD and in the next president of the Republic.
On behalf of the youth, Carmen Muñoz spoke, recalling that five years ago, she was crowned Dominican Miss Universe in a contest that “after 20 years, was held for the first time in Santiago de los Caballeros, because Abel Martínez had the vision ”, also emphasizing that there is a historical debt with women, “and the participation of women not only in civil society, but also at the political level, will be a reality with Abel”.
During the development of the activity, videos of women of all ages were presented explaining why they support Abel Martínez, as well as a compendium of the presidential candidate’s political journey.
