A total of 370 pumpkins, 75 masks and various Halloween items were seized during a joint operation carried out in the Junín neighborhood, in the province of Jauja.

The intervention was carried out by the Jauja Health Network, through the Environmental Health Unit, in coordination with the Municipal Police and the Deputy Management of Marketing and SMEs of the provincial commune.
The operation, carried out within the framework of the “Safe and Healthy Halloween” campaign, made it possible to detect products that did not have the mandatory labeling that accredits their health authorization, national registration or origin, essential requirements to guarantee their safety.

Health authorities warned that these items may represent a health risk, especially for children, as they contain toxic materials or dyes that could cause allergies, irritations or damage to the nervous system.
