Hundreds of people went this Wednesday, November 2, to cemeteries of the National District to commemorate the All Souls Daya date that traditionally gathers in these places relatives and close friends who come to visit the graves of your loved ones.
Despite being a working day, from the early hours of the morning the cemeteries Nacional or Máximo Gómez, Christ the King and Christ the Redeemer, were crowded with people who, with bouquets of flowers and candles in their hands, moved inside those holy fields.
Many of the relatives carried out work to prepare the graves such as sweeping, painting and removing grass from the environment under a hot sun that was not an obstacle for their assistance.
Danilo Florián Reynoso, when he went to the National Cemetery, located on Máximo Gómez Avenue, to visit the graves of his mother and two of his sisters, said that he never misses this date to go to the place where the remains of his loved ones are found.
“Thank God those of us who are alive can, even if it means coming to see them, even if it means seeing that their graves are clean. We always come when they have their birthday, we bring them flowers and we celebrate masses for them”Florian said.
The cemeteries they were appreciated renovated and with security for the visitors in charge of the National Police and the Municipal Police, who were seen patrolling inside them.
“For this date, what we have done is to give touch-ups to the paint and reinforce security for today so that the citizens feel confident when coming to visit their relatives, the cleaning has been reinforced a little too,” said the in charge of the cemeteries municipal representatives of the National District Mayor’s Office, Pamela Martínez.
