Humberto López accuses Cuban exiles of being behind acts of vandalism

In the midst of the growing rejection against the Government for the death of several young people in the fire in Matanzas who were passing the Military Service, the spokesman for the regime Humberto López, in an attempt to appease the indignation of relatives and the solidarity of thousands towards those affected, He returned with a new complaint orchestrated, as usual, by State Security.

Lopez took advantage of the space that he has on the State television Newscast to report on an alleged act of vandalism that occurred in a store in the municipality of Diez de Octubre in Havana, where two subjects were allegedly detained and, in addition, he accused several influencers to be behind the facts.

The spokesman described that a Molotov cocktail was thrown against the metal door of a Caribe network store and the route that the vehicle carrying the attackers later made. He recounted that after throwing the cocktail, they traveled nine blocks and parked to prepare another homemade bomb.

The alleged detainees are two unidentified men, one 38 years old who resides between the United States and Cuba, and another 39 years old, a resident of the municipality of Diez de Octubre. Both were traveling in a vehicle owned by the father of one of them. He affirmed that the former has made 20 trips between the Island and the North American country.

The spokesman described that a Molotov cocktail was thrown against the metal door of a Caribe network store and the route that the vehicle where the attackers were traveling later made.

López assured that he had many details about the event, and resorted to the recurring discourse of the ruling party: the people are “the real one affected by all these actions.” He also affirmed that there are links between the perpetrators in Cuba and “terrorists abroad,” alluding to youtubers Cubans residing in the United States. In his intervention, he assured that he has evidence about the orders that one of them gives to an acquaintance of his.

“We have the messages, we have the calls, we have the actions that were indicated to him from abroad, we have the payment receipt for the cards, of what he received for each of the actions, moreover, I was with him one of the times that they contacted him,” López said, while affirming that he recorded the Cuban with his consent.

“Too much information, do you want to show it? Of course, too,” added the spokesman, however, he did not show any evidence, which suggests manipulation of the alleged perpetrators by State Security itself.

While recounting the events and the alleged links abroad, the official broadcaster showed fragments of videos showing the faces of three youtubersAlex Otaola, Ultrack and Manuel Milanés, but he never said their names.

In April of last year, the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba (FHRC) included Humberto López in your database of “violent Cuban repressors” because “it has become the spearhead of these discrediting campaigns against the opposition and emerging civil society.”

In the national television program that he directs and presents, We make CubaLopez defame artists, activists, opponents and independent journalists, accusing them of being “mercenaries” and without inviting them to have the right to reply. Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, Tania Bruguera, Yoani Sánchez, Luz Escobar, Iliana Hernández, Maykel Castillo osorb and many other citizens have been the target of their media harassment.
