Hugo Velázquez, Vice President of the Republic, would be linked to terrorist groups. Unicanal television media transcribed an Israeli press publication where Velázquez is seen in a meeting with Hezbollah leaders.

The publication reports that Velázquez went to Lebanon to meet with political and religious leaders of the powerful Islamic movement Hezbollah, although he later denied it several times.
