Ambassador Rivera Fernández has been a key person in all the initiatives for rapprochement between the two peoples
The House of Representatives of Puerto Rico recognized the trajectory of the Vice Minister for Economic Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugo Rivera Fernandez, for his efforts in favor of strengthening bilateral trade relations between that island and the Dominican Republic.
The Vice President of House of Representative, José Varela praised Hugo Rivera’s professional career of more than 20 years in favor of strengthening commercial relations between Puerto Rico and the country.
“Ambassador Rivera Fernández has been a key person in all the initiatives for rapprochement between the two peoples. Today I am honored to have the presence of such a distinguished Dominican official in the interest of continuing to develop a broad and effective bilateral agenda”, he said.
The rapprochement has been sustained, thanks to the commercial integration efforts that the Free Trade Agreement between USA and Central America.
