Hugo Espinowho he was released this friday After 10 days of preliminary detention, he gave a statement implicating President Pedro Castillo’s sister-in-law, Yenifer Paredes. According to the businessman’s statements, which were broadcast by Latina, the first lady’s sister let him know that Rudbel Oblitas Paredes, Lilia Paredes’s nephew, “had arrived” at the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
“Before traveling to Chachapoyas, Yennifer Paredes called me by phone to meet at the house located at 375 Las Tortugas Avenue, third floor (…) There I talked with Yennifer Paredes, who told me that her brother David Paredes was interested in executing works, to which I replied that yes there are works, the files can be worked on”, said Espino Lucana.
“After that, I spoke with Rudbel Oblitas Paredes, and told him that I was going to prepare the file for the improvement and trafficability of the town of Colcabamba. I mentioned this to Rudbel because he had already talked with Nenil Medina and Carlos Cabrera about my participation in preparing the file. Yennifer told me that he could accelerate the financing in the Ministry of Transportation, that is, Yennifer Paredes knew that Rudbel Oblitas had arrived in that ministry, ”he added.
The businessman revealed that Oblitas Paredes accepted the deal and that the president’s relative “was going to invest for the file.”
“Then we would see with which company to participate in the work, asking me to give him an account to deposit the agreed money, which at that time amounted to the sum of S/ 50,000 (…) to which I sent him the account of the BCP of my sister (Anggi Espino Lucana)”, he confessed.
JJM Espino’s representative specified that in the first week of October 2021, Lilia Paredes’s nephew sent him a capture with the voucher that certified the deposit of 20,000 soles made by Walter Paredes Navarro, brother of the first lady, to the account by Anggi Espino.
“Since it was not the agreed amount, I called him to complain why he did not deposit the S / 50,000, answering me that he was going to deposit the difference later, which he never did,” he said.
Finally, Latina revealed that Hugo Espino said that Rudbel Oblitas asked him for an account that he did not own to make the transfer. “That is, those 20 thousand soles belong to David Paredes Navarro, since David told me that it was his money through a call he made to tell me that he had made the deposit,” he said.
