Bolivian Hugo Dellien eliminated Portuguese Joao Sousa this Monday at the Rio de Janeiro Open (Brazil). El Tigre de Moxos was far superior to its rival by beating it 2-0, with partial scores of 6/0 and 6/2, in one hour and 6 minutes of play.

Dellien dispatched his rival by subduing him by 6/0 in just 22 minutes of play in the first set. On the second court, the European tried to put up resistance, but it was not enough and ended up falling 6/2 in 44 minutes.

In the round of 16, the Bolivian will face the Slovakian Alex Molcan (54th), who advanced by dispatching Brazilian youth Joao Fonseca (827th) on Monday, at the start of the main draw of the most important tennis tournament in South America.

Molcan, who occupied the last seed (N.9), replacing the injured Federico Coria (ARG, N.8), beat the Brazilian promise 6-0 and 6-3, just 16 years old, on the Guga Kuerten clay court. The match between the Bolivian and the Slovakian will be played this Wednesday (time to be defined).
