Santo Domingo.- The president of the National Federation of Transport La Nueva Option (Fenatrano), Juan Hubieres, reported that he had signed an agreement with the government, through the director of the Land Traffic Institute (INTRANT), Rafael Arias, the Coordinator of the Transport Cabinet, Hugo Veras and the president of the Dominican Municipal League, Víctor D’Aza, who acted as mediator and representative of the President of the Republic.
He explained that a period of 10 days was granted to the drivers of cars and minibuses on the avenue Charles de Gaulle for leave the route and be evaluated, while the INTRANT, committed to establishing a modality so that they can operate.
Hubieres said that the agreement is made up of 10 points for the transformation of the corridors in which Fenatrano’s affiliates operate.
The transport leader stressed that eliminating these sources of employment would increase the country’s crime rates, stating that the municipality of Santo Domingo Norte has one of the highest rates in this regard.

The agreement was possible after the mediation of the Coordinator of the Transportation Cabinet and the president of the Dominican Municipal League, Victor D’Aza.
It is recalled that drivers of the routes of the National Federation of Transport La Nueva Option (Fenatrano) paralyzed traffic this Thursday on the avenue Charles de Gaulle demanding that they be allowed to work.
