Hubieres says agreement was to "avoid bloodbath"

The president of the National Federation of New Option Transport (Fenatrane), Juan would haveled a press conference this Saturday where he assured that the agreement signed yesterday with the National Institute of Traffic and Land Transport (Intrant) was to “avoid a bloodbath” in the corridor of the Charles de Gaulle.

“We have 10 days to see alternatives and get them out of there. (The agreement) we signed it because yesterday what could have been a bloodbath… It was a painful birth, because yesterday we saw the face of hatred, of greed, but we signed”he said in the presence of nearly a hundred drivers on the route.

“The attitude that existed yesterday was to remove all the companions from the Charles de Gaulle Corridor, the cars, the buses, people who are 30 years old there, who have investments of two, three or four million pesos and the State does not want to see it and others have carts of 30 or 40 thousand pesos, but that is what they live with . They don’t steal, they don’t rob, they don’t sell drugs, they don’t kill,” he denounced.

When questioned about whether this agreement puts a definitive end to the conflicts in the corridor, the carrier said that “if the conflict will end, the Government knows. Are you going to tell these colleagues who were there: get out! or is he going to kill them? Yesterday the intention was that, I am saying it responsibly. More than a thousand guards lying in North Santo Domingo, with rifles, to confront drivers who drive around with a steering wheel.

“A comrade hurts me more than venturing to hate a government, because the life of a comrade who has children, who has a wife, is worth more than anything,” he added.

would have thanked the “effort made by Víctor D’Aza, leader of the PRM and in his capacity as president of the Dominican Municipal League, assumed the mediation management, by delegation of the President of the Republic, in the face of a conflict that has created the ambition and avarice”.

He explained that the militarization of the Charle de Gaulle corridor sought to cause “bloodshed”, but D’Aza’s intervention demonstrated the political will to reach a minimum agreement: “What came between yesterday and today, was deaths of drivers “.

The driver leader stated that “the runners do not belong to anyone, someone made them.”

He recalled that with the creation of the corridor of February 27, in 1998, they wanted to exclude drivers and at that time, thanks to the intervention of Hamlet Hermann, it was possible to mediate.

“Those runners were not exclusive of kicking anyone twice to make them leave, those runners belonged to the State,” he declared.

In the agreement signed yesterday, would have says that he was the one who requested that Rafael Ernesto Arias, director of the Intrantwas present, as a representative of the Minister of the Presidency, Lisandro Macarrulla, who at the same time, represents President Luis Abinader.

points of agreement

This Friday, Fenatrane and the Intrant signed an agreement where a period of ten working days was established, where the cars and minibuses of the corridor of Charles de Gaulle avenue undertake to leave, in order to examine and evaluate the lifting of the amount, committing the Intrant to guarantee an alternative and/or modality in which they will be incorporated into said corridor.

Among the agreed points, would have He highlighted the collectivization of transport through the so-called trunk corridors, which implies the substitution of cars and minibuses in an attempt to make the transfer of people who use this means more efficient and at a lower cost.

The Intrant undertakes to seek a satisfactory solution for the carriers that currently operate these routes.

The Government also undertakes to maintain fuel compensation until required by the transport sector for its stability and service operability.

About bus assailants

Juan would have affirmed that “the attackers of the Charle de Gaulle buses are members of the group led by Cambita and Pachuli,” indicating that he has their names and surnames, but that the authorities have not arrested him because they are not from Fenatrane: “If they were from Fenatrane they had in La Victoria with a coercive measure of one year”.

He assured that what took place was a self-sabotage to blame members of Fenatranebut who owns the videos, however, asserted that neither the National Police nor the Public Ministry has been interested in catching the real aggressors, but blames drivers of Fenatrane.

At John’s meeting would have with carriers from the Charle de Gaulle corridor, held at the La Cotorra restaurant in Parque del Mirador Norte, legislators Sócrate Pérez from the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and Heriberto Aracena from the People’s Force participated.
