The Association of Folklore Institutions of Ancient and Modern Huaylarsh (AIFHAM) showed a categorical rejection against the obligation to participate in the parades scheduled by the organizers of the contests. One of the first decisions is not to attend the Huancán contest.
Claim. The secretary of AIFHAM, Pier Quispe Díaz, explained that letters were sent to the various huaylarsh competition organizations, pointing out that the delegations should not be forced to be part of the parades, due to the mistreatment of the dancers and scheduled invitations from their godfathers.
“We self-manage our economy, they offer us breakfast, lunch. And, now, they predispose us to the fact that part of their competence is to do parades or parades or they condition us with points, we are not going to accept that because there are competitions that end at 4:00 am and they ask you for a parade at 6:00 that same day, that mistreats the dancer and even worse they can be assaulted”Quispe pointed out.
The leader added that in Huancán, they sought to condition a presentation, which is why they decided not to attend this contest.
“Unanimously we said that we will no longer go to Huancán. We are more than 65 casts between ancient and modern,” he referred.
