The Judiciary declared the request of the Public Ministry well-founded and ordered five days of preliminary imprisonment against Joshua Huamán, alleged murderer of nurse Kimberlit Maricielo Tapia Ortiz, 28 years old, who was reported missing on September 7, 2024.
According to police information, included in the preliminary arrest warrant, Huamán entered the ‘Bahía’ condominium in Cieneguilla with the young woman on September 7. However, the suspect left the place alone the following day.
The body of Kimberlit Maricielo Tapia Ortiz was found last night, charred and dismembered, in the aforementioned condominium, a week after her disappearance was reported.
This Wednesday, the suspect was summoned to the headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Department (Depincri) of Huaral and while he was appearing before the authorities, the Prosecutor’s Office formulated the request for preliminary detention before the Third Preparatory Investigation Court of Huaral, which accepted the fiscal request.
“The suspect Joshua Huamán was interviewed, who, when asked about the victim, appeared nervous and at all times denied knowing the victim’s whereabouts, and that he met her on Tinder, stating that the last time he had communication with her was on September 5, 2024. [sic]“, the preliminary detention order states.
In this case, the Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating and accusing Joshua Huamán of the alleged crime against life, body and health in the form of femicide.
The alleged murderer has been detained at the Depincri headquarters in Huaral since noon.
