Huánuco: Commercialization of NAN SUPREME PRO 2 milk observed by Digesa is ruled out

The Regional Health Directorate (DIRESA) Huánuco, through the Executive Directorate of Environmental Health, reported that, after carrying out an unexpected health surveillance in the main shopping centers of the city, the product NAN SUPREME PRO 2 formula milk, Nestlé brand, 800 gram can presentation, has not been found for sale, observed nationwide by DIGESA.

This action was carried out in compliance with DIGESA Communiqué No. 001-2026, which alerts about a possible quality deviation (not related to safety) corresponding to batch No. 52840742F2, which is why immediate verification of its possible commercialization in Huánuco was ordered.

During the operation, the Environmental Health technical team inspected the Tottus, Metro and Plaza Vea establishments, considered the busiest shopping centers in the city. As a result:

None of the inspected establishments sells the alerted product. They did not show current or previous stock of the observed batch. The Metro and Tottus stores had an internal health alert issued by their management, and they presented their control records. Plaza Vea did not have an internal alert, but confirmed that it does not sell or have received said product.

The intervention was led by the Executive Directorate of Environmental Health, under the direction of Veterinary Doctor Aldo Villareyes Cariga, with the participation of the technical team and the person responsible for the Food area, Ernesto Portugal Ramón.

Despite not having found the product in the local market, DIRESA Huánuco recommends that the population not purchase or consume the NAN SUPREME PRO 2 milk corresponding to lot 52840742F2, and always verify the lot number at the time of purchase, as a preventive measure to protect health, especially of children.

Finally, the Health sector reiterated that it maintains permanent and articulated surveillance in the face of national health alerts, acting in a timely manner to safeguard public health and guarantee the safety of food sold in the region.
