Some 89 public cleaning workers, road maintenance, green areas and other areas of the Chilca district, belonging to the Sitramun and Sitraom unions, made a plant since midnight this Monday in protest of the breach of collective agreements. Among their claims are the delivery of cloth and milk tarros cuts that, as reported, have not been distributed in their entirety as agreed since 2019.

The leaders indicated that the agreement established the delivery of a cloth cut in March, destined for the parade for the district anniversary, but that only 43 beneficiaries of Sitraom have been considered and not to all of its affiliates. They also denounced that the monthly delivery of 15 jars of milk per worker only reaches a small group, leaving aside several members.

The municipal manager, Ronald Crisóstomo, indicated that those who claim milk would be recently united workers and not the old ones. He added that the Labor Directorate declared the strike inadmissible and warned that those who comply with it will be subject to administrative discounts and processes. He also assured that the public services of Chilca will not be affected, since 40 contracted workers execute the contingency plan provided by the commune.
