A policeman was assaulted after making an intervention to a driver in apparent drunkenness in the district of El Tambo, province of Huancayo. Around 15 people would have gone against police cash, however, only three were arrested.

The head of the El Tambo district police station, Commander Chang, announced that, at the intersections of Junín and Libertad, a police officer intervened a male aboard his vehicle, when he was attacked by people who accompanied him. After asking for reinforcements to the emergency squad they managed to stop two men and a woman.

This is Fernando Jacson Atencio, 40, who was the driver of the car, Jhony Cárdenas Huamán and Ruth Erica Canto, who were transferred to the police station. It was known that the police cash suffered various injuries, including a scratch in the cheekbone and cut in the ear. In this regard, Commander Chang said that the legal medical examination will determine the seriousness of the injuries and subsequent criminal effects.
