The First Appeals Chamber of Huancayo ordered that Rutilio Carbajal Rojas (55) serve preventive detention for nine months, after revoking the judicial decision that initially released him. The Superior Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Violence against Women maintained that the elements presented were not adequately evaluated in the first instance.

The appeal, led by the senior deputy prosecutor Rosmery Cuadros Gutiérrez, allowed the location and internment of the investigated person in the Huamancaca Chico prison. The case is investigated for alleged acts of an improper nature to the detriment of a 15-year-old teenager.

The incident was reported by the minor’s mother at the Sapallanga Police Station, and the proceedings began with the First Office of the Huancayo Specialized Violence Prosecutor’s Office. The tax authority will continue with the corresponding actions to clarify the case.
