In the Cerrito de la Libertad sector, province of Huancayo, the barking of the dogs and the whining of the small wild animal alerted the owner of a home, who notified the authorities to keep the animal safe.

The neighbor Ever Huamán Aquino thought that they were criminals because of the barking of the dogs, but when the security guards went to the scene they discovered that several dogs were attacking a small deer that, when trying to escape, entered Mr. Huamán’s home and hid in his kitchen.

Watchmen from Huancayo and members of the national police managed to catch the deer that had a wound in its nose; it was later transferred to the Environment Directorate. To date, the origin of the animal is not known, but it is presumed that it was separated from its mother due to unscrupulous behavior.
