Seven months of preventive detention was ordered by the Judiciary against Josué Mantari Ramos (21), investigated for alleged crimes against sexual freedom and for disobedience to authority, to the detriment of his 18-year-old former partner, in an event that occurred in the city of Huancayo.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred in the early morning of December 12, when the accused entered the house where the young woman rented a room. Despite having protective measures that prohibited him from approaching the victim, the subject would have acted motivated by jealousy, physically attacking her and causing serious injuries.
After what happened, the victim managed to contact his mother, who alerted the Police. Minutes later, police officers intervened on the investigated person at his workplace, located in the center of Huancayo, and transferred him to the Divincri for the corresponding procedures.

The request was supported by the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Violence Against Women and Members of the Family Group, which presented elements of conviction regarding the alleged responsibility of the accused. With the measure issued, the person under investigation will remain detained while investigations into the case continue.
