Huancayo: Stage collapses leaving around thirty people injured, including six children (VIDEO)

This afternoon, two boxes in which about 150 people were seated collapsed, leaving thirty people injured. This happened during the festival of the Virgin of Cocharcas in Miluchaca, district of Sapallanga, in the province of Huancayo.

Amidst the screams and despair of the population, approximately thirty people were taken to the El Carrión and El Carmen hospitals, since six of them were minors.

The latter were taken to El Carmen Hospital, according to the hospital director, Luis Porras Gonzales, who confirmed that most of the children had minor injuries such as slight bruises.

“Thanks to the rapid intervention, we were able to discharge them without complications, ensuring their stability. Six children were admitted to the hospital’s Emergency Department at approximately 5:30 p.m. and received immediate medical attention. Five of them had minor bruises, so they were discharged quickly after being treated and evaluated. The last case is a six-year-old girl who was admitted with severe pain in her left arm.”he noted.

The girl, identified as Lía LP, was diagnosed with a fracture in her left arm, which was treated by the traumatologist.
