Huancayo: Residents punish alleged criminal and burn his motorcycle (VIDEO)

Residents of La Punta, in the district of Sapallanga, punished an alleged criminal after finding him stealing a chicken from a home. They also burned a linear motorcycle on which the subject apparently traveled.

According to the testimony of the residents of the La Libertad neighborhood, a woman found the man taking her chicken and alerted the residents, who managed to restrain him to take justice into their own hands, stripped the alleged criminal and took him to the area square. Among his belongings they found two market bags, a black backpack and a cutter.

Lieutenant PNP Vásquez said that the subject accepted that he tried to steal a chicken in the area, but did not want to identify himself, which is why he was transferred to the police station for the proceedings. The residents of the sector report constant incidents of citizen insecurity, a few days ago a merchant was the victim of the theft of her merchandise valued at 2 thousand soles, and others were victims of robbery while passing by and on board vehicles.
