During the activity, Mayor Cuba highlighted that the increase in Foncomún, which will allow part of the extra cost to be covered, was achieved when Jerí presided over the Congressional Budget Commission. Despite the financial observations released in recent days, the municipal management decided to move forward with the execution of the project.

In his speech, President Jerí stated that, although he was recommended to keep a low profile until the 2026 elections, he chose to tour the country to directly address local demands. “To those who criticize me, let them continue doing so, because it is the energy they give me to get up earlier,” he said. Furthermore, he maintained that his transitional government seeks to act with greater commitment and assertiveness in the face of regional emergencies.
