Third-class non-commissioned officers Joseph Maykol Sarapura Richetter (27) and Michel Pariona Vicente (25) were arrested after covering up two criminals who had stolen a cell phone, in the province of Huancayo. They omitted their duties and released the detainees in front of the police station.

The criminals on a motorcycle threatened Alessadro Chávez Farfán (20) with a knife and stole his cell phone in the Esperanza Eterna cemetery. Minutes later they were arrested by the National Police and taken to the police station.
The police officers would have chosen to return the stolen cell phone to the victim, so they contacted him and told him that they were going to deliver the equipment to him personally, before Alessandro made the report.

The officer on duty at the police station witnessed the exact moment in which the two subjects arrested for robbery got out of the vehicle and spoke with one of the police officers. The thieves were identified as Jhoslyn Ludeña Flores (21) and Noel Trujillo Quilca (23).
