The Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Huancayo Educational Institution issued a statement announcing that for the first grade of primary school in 2025 there are no longer vacancies available for second priority interested parties (students from public or private educational institutions). This fact generated rejection and indignation among parents who reported alleged irregularities.

According to the parents’ claim, the vacancies would have been exhausted by the students’ relatives, so they are asking for transparency in the process since they heard rumors about alleged charges to acquire a vacancy. “If the vacancies already had a name and surname, they should not have called for applications and given us false hope,” said one of the mothers.
In response to the claim and indignation, a representative of the Educational Institution explained that for the first grade there were a total of 64 vacancies, of which 4 are designated for students with special abilities, 30 for first priority students (sisters of the enrolled students , daughters of teachers and administrators) and another 30 for those of second priority (students from public and private educational institutions). However, 73 siblings of students applied, and since they were first priority they were preferred, even so they left 13 of them without vacancies, and students from other institutions no longer had any opportunity.

In this regard, the director of Ugel Huancayo, Walter Oré, pointed out that indeed the siblings of enrolled students, children of teachers and administrators, have priority, but as a result of the complaints and alleged irregular charges for vacancies, he will send an investigative commission.
