The Christmas spirit took over the streets of Chilca with the colorful “Race of Papanoeles and Mamanoelas”, an event that brought together adults and children in a day marked by joy, creativity and family participation. About 60 competitors toured the main roads of the district wearing Christmas costumes, before the attentive gaze and applause of dozens of neighbors.
One of the most striking moments of the competition was the participation of runners who opted for costumes made from recycled material, demonstrating ingenuity and promoting, at the same time, a message of care for the environment.
The race began with a route from Los Héroes Park to Av. Torre Tagle. Participants competed in categories based on age. In children, the winners were Leonel Ambrosio and Jhon Reymundo; in adults, Joel Aranda and Luis Zapata; while in the adult master category, Walter Bernal and Gonzalo Ignacio stood out, who took home trophies and Christmas baskets.

In addition, the most original costume was awarded with panettone, encouraging creativity among the participants. Throughout the afternoon, entire families accompanied the activity, turning the race into a true neighborhood party that reinforced the Christmas spirit and the union between the residents of Chilca.
