The Municipal Council of Huancayo approved the budget for the trip of five students from the Unión school to France, who will represent Peru in the 38th International Championship of Mathematical and Logical Games.

The approved amount was S/12,500, each student will receive S/2,500. Twelve councillors voted in favour and only councillor Jane Hospinal voted against. During their speech, the councillors agreed that there would be no setbacks in the delivery of the money and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting education.

It should be noted that the five students, Abdiel Avendaño Ponce (10), Raúl Suárez Córdova (13), Josías Caparachín Contreras (16), Hans Valerio Váldez (15) and Adrián Aquino Valentín (15), carried out various activities to raise funds, such as raffles and chicken parties.
