The mayor of the district of Chilca, César Damas Laurente, asked the Provincial Committee for Citizen Security (Coprosec), and the mayor of the province of Huancayo, Dennys Cuba Rivera, to eradicate the foreigners of bad living settled in the district, due to the increase of criminal acts.

The mayor of Chilca proposed coordinated work between the National Police of Peru and the Immigration Office to identify, sanction and expel those who engage in illicit activities. “We need more forceful operations and joint work to return tranquility to our streets,” he said.

Working with the municipality of Huancayo and Coprosec, they implemented strategies to strengthen the police presence and establish stricter immigration controls, as well as unexpected operations in critical areas of the district.
