More than 20 preschool and primary schools in the province of Huancayo began the Santiago festival on July 24th, with a colorful parade down the historic Calle Real de la Incontrastable. Adults will do the same with more than 100 delegations starting at 2:00 p.m.

In order to promote the artistic and cultural events of the region, dozens of children took to the streets in traditional Santiago clothing, walking down Calle Real until they reached Plaza Huamanmarca where they gave a presentation of traditional activities such as branding.

At 2:00 p.m., about 100 delegations from various public and private institutions of the province will present their best steps, guapidos, clothing and choreography in the main streets of Huancayo for the contest ‘Santiago Wanka Bicentennial Edition 2024′The gathering points for the parade will be in the Andrés Avelino Cáceres, Túpac Amaru, Los Héroes and Periodistas parks.
