A tragic traffic accident claimed the life of a young driver in the district of San Antonio de Antaparco, province of Angaraes (Huancavelica). The incident occurred around 3:00 pm on Tuesday, when a white Toyota Hilux truck (plate F1Y-915) got lost and fell about 25 meters to the bank of the Cachi River, in the Quillurumi sector of the Magnopampa annex.

Upon arriving at the scene, agents from the PNP Julcamarca Rural Police Station found the driver Jhon Carlos Manyavilca Sánchez (25) dead. Meanwhile, co-pilot Jeremías Chuñocca Flores was rescued with serious injuries and transferred by medical personnel from the San Antonio de Antaparco Health Post to the city of Ayacucho, where he receives specialized care.

The Criminal Prosecutor’s Office ordered the removal of the body and the corresponding procedures with the participation of the Medical Examiner and police officers. The causes of the accident are still being investigated.
