A tragic traffic accident occurred on Saturday morning on the Ticrapo-Mollepampa national highway, in the Huancavelica region, after a truck lost its way and fell into an abyss of approximately 200 meters, leaving seven people dead and eight seriously injured.

The event occurred in the Chauga annex, jurisdiction of the Ticrapo district. According to information from local authorities, the victims died instantly due to the violence of the impact.

The injured were rescued with the support of health personnel and residents of the area, and were evacuated to the Departmental Hospital of Pisco to receive specialized care. The Huancavelica Regional Emergency Operations Center (COER) reported that it continues monitoring the case while the causes of the fatal accident are investigated.
