Huancavelica: Driver was arrested for trying to bribe police

The Huancavelica – Huancayo highway begins in March of this year with a case of bribery. This is because a driver ended up being transferred to the Acostambo Police Station as a detainee after he tried to bribe the police officers who intervened during a police operation on the road.

Given this fact and since it is a case of flagrante delicto, the intervening police officer proceeded to arrest the driver, who was identified as Saúl PE (26).

The arrest is for being immersed in the alleged commission of the crime against the public administration, in the form of active bribery, to the detriment of the scope of the police function.

Regarding the case, the police officers reported what happened to the Specialized Prosecutor for Corruption Crimes of Huancayo officials so that it can carry out the proceedings and investigations of the case in order to determine the legal situation of the detainee.
