40% of workers in Huancayo do not have stability or job security
A councilor from the District Municipality of Huancahuanca, in the Huancavelica region, was publicly punished by community members after failing to deliver panettones and toys announced for a Christmas chocolate party. The event occurred to the indignation of the residents who were waiting for the promised support for the girls and boys of the community.
According to the neighbors, Councilor Santiago Mendoza did not give any explanation for the absence of the products offered, which sparked the collective complaint. In images broadcast by national media, it is observed how the official is held by community members while he receives the punishment, to the rhythm of shouts demanding answers.
The residents also blamed the district mayor, Juvencio Taipe, for the lack of organization of the event and demanded an official statement that clarifies the destination of the panettones and toys announced for Christmas.
