Huancavelica: Army and Dircote find clandestine deposit with weapons and explosives

In an integrated operation carried out in the district of Roble, province of Tayacaja, CE-VRAEM personnel through the 2nd Infantry Brigade, in coordination with agents from the Directorate Against Terrorism (Dircote) of the National Police, located and intervened in a clandestine space allegedly used for the storage and supply of remnants operating in the area.

During the intervention, the authorities seized various war material, including a Glock 17 pistol with 13 cartridges, a 32 caliber revolver, two Mauser-type shotguns, more than a hundred cartridges of dynamite, slow fuse, ammunition of different calibers, communication radios, tactical backpacks and pot holders. Flyers with illicit content linked to the investigated organization were also found.

As part of the operation, two people were intercepted and detained for their alleged relationship with the crime of terrorism in the form of affiliation to illegal groups. The 2nd Infantry Brigade reaffirmed its commitment to the security and pacification of the country, as well as to the dismantling of clandestine structures that represent a risk to the population.
