Residents of the town center of Huanaspampa came to the Regional Government of Huancavelica demanding the presence of the regional governor Maciste Díaz Abad.
Clever Ramos Quispe, councilor of the aforementioned population center, affirmed that they have a record of September 12, 2018, in which the then candidates of Working for All for the regional government, and the provincial and district municipalities (Acoria) signed a commitment to the construction of a stadium, to which four years later, not even the first stone was laid.
“The formulation of the technical file began in 2019, with the current management, in which our professionals from our town center have supported, not even the Regional Government has had that willingness to invest in the formulation of the project,” said Ramos Quispe.
He added: “We have come on different occasions to dialogue, it was left for the Regional Government to execute the budget, but, until now, it has not happened, that is why we find ourselves with this peaceful march.”
The residents raised common pots at the door of the Regional Government, in which they boiled potatoes.
In addition, they affirmed that they will remain in the place until the same regional governor arrives, since they are tired of talking to officials.
The regional manager, Héctor Riveros, arrived at the scene, stating that he has the authority to explain the progress of his request; however, the population stated that they would only talk with the regional governor.
“We are in all conditions to attend to your requests, we call for dialogue, with or without the governor we have the possibility of providing a solution,” said Riveros.
He said that the governor traveled to Lima for his own paperwork, but could not explain which ministry he traveled to.
“We still need to formalize an agreement between the mayor of Acoria, I have already communicated with him so that he can be the executing unit of the project. This is a procedure that the Municipality of Acoria should have promoted,” the official said.
