Huamanga Municipality asks neighbors to avoid music that is not related to Holy Week

The Provincial Municipality of Huamanga (Ayacucho) urged all its inhabitants to avoid broadcasting music on Thursday and Friday of Holy Week that is not in accordance with the religious festival that commemorates the life, passion and death of Jesus.

“The Municipality of Huamanga recommends that the population of Huamanga refrain from broadcasting music that is not consistent with the feeling of chaotic mourning on Thursday, April 14 and Friday, April 15, 2022.”said the commune in a statement.

Said pronouncement was addressed especially to the people of the commercial premises, homes and neighbors of the Historic Center of Huamanga.

“The Holy Week It is one of the most important religious and cultural festivities in the city, building one of the most outstanding displays of faith and religious syncretism in Latin America.”, indicated the municipality.

“We urge the population of Huamanga that on the aforementioned days instrumental and/or sacred music be broadcast and thus live the passion of Christ”, recommended the municipality.
