In the case of HSBC Mexico, which has received fines amounting to 27.01 million pesos (mdp), the sanctions have been for failing to comply with liquidity coverage obligations, incorrect accounting records and internal control deficiencies.
BBVA Mexico has been fined 21.8 million pesos so far this year for not meeting the information requirements of the authority.
So far, the authority has not issued a sanction for the failure of more than 14 hours that the bank had in its mobile app.
In the case of Autofin, it has been one of the entities that has received the most sanctions and that together amount to 18.97 million pesos. The firm, which has more than 90 branches throughout the country, has failed to comply with prudential provisions, for failing to comply with its preventive reserve obligations and not complying with investment limits charged to net capital.
The remaining 7 banks have fines that together amount to 64.2 million pesos for different breaches of the regulation.
