Credit histories in a Risk Center constitute the reputational guarantee of people and are an essential tool for the democratization of the credit. Reports are important when accessing a loan, because those who grant credit or term services have the opportunity to know the credit history that the holders of information have built.
Credit histories are made up of information on compliance and non-compliance with obligations. It is important that the information in your history is up to date and that your payments are timely reflected.
That said, Experian Peru explains what you must do to be able to see the payments made on your debts reflected in your credit history:
- Avoid falling into the hands of scammers:
It is important to remember that seeing the payments reflected in your credit history only depends on the behavior you have had with your obligations, and this will always be displayed in the Risk Centers. The important thing is to monitor that when you cancel your debt it is reflected in the Credit Report.
Remember that updates are normally done once a month.
- Ask your bank or financial institution for a letter of no debt:
Once you have finalized your financial commitments, the financial institution must update the information to the risk centers to “clean” your credit history.
- Submit an information review request:
If you believe that the information contained in the credit report is inaccurate, erroneous, expired or not up to date, you can submit a request for review of information in which you indicate the name of the entity whose information you want to be reviewed.
This procedure is 100% free and must contain the basic information of the owner of the information, in addition to proof of non-debt, which gives you support to support your request.
How long will I continue to appear as delinquent?
According to Art. 10 of Law 27489, modified by Law 27863; if you were in arrears and you caught up, it will appear in the system that you are up to date, and for 24 months the historical arrears will be reflected.
It is not possible to remove historical information from the system, but it is possible to improve your credit score and profile since, by paying off your debt, your profile score improves.
