There are times when you need to connect to a WiFi network and you can’t remember the password. Fortunately, there are several ways to see your WiFi network password on your PC. Here are two effective methods to do so.
- Using the Windows network manager. Windows Network Manager is a built-in tool on your PC that allows you to view and manage your network connections. To see the password of your WiFi network, follow these steps:
- Click the network icon on the taskbar (in the lower right corner of the screen).
- Click on “Open Network Manager”
- Click on “Network adapters”
- Right click on the WiFi connection you are connected to and select “Properties”
- Select the “Security” tab
- Click on “Show characters” to see the password of the WiFi network.
- Using the command “netsh» on the command line. If you prefer to use the command line, you can see the password for your WiFi network using the “netsh” command. Follow these steps:
- Click “Start” and type “cmd” in the search box.
- Right click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as administrator”
- Writes “netsh wlan show profile» and press Enter.
- Type the name of the WiFi network you are connected to and press Enter.
- Look for the line “Password: Network password” and there you will see the password of your WiFi network.
It is important to note that these methods only work if you are already connected to the WiFi network. If you are not connected, you will have to follow another process or contact the network administrator to obtain the password.
